Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a person who jumped a barricade and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile features videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
