The Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this total queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, offering an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
